Description

The stomach plays an indispensable role in digestion by producing acids that break down food. To protect itself from these acids, the stomach is lined with a special layer that shields the underlying tissue from damage. When this protective lining becomes weakened or irritated, the acids can start to harm the stomach wall, leading to a condition called gastritis. The symptoms are often mild at first, including discomfort, a feeling of fullness, or frequent burping, and they may be easy to overlook. Over time, however, these symptoms can become more prominent. Knowing more about gastritis and how to manage it can help prevent further complications and support better digestive health. To help, in this blog, we take a closer look at gastritis, understand how it affects the body, and go through the available treatment options.
